Trick Roping at the Silver Spur
There’s never a dull moment at the Silver Spur Ranch, but one of our guests’ favorite forms of entertainment here is trick roping. In case you’ve never heard of it before, trick roping is a competitive art form involving the spinning of a lasso. It began in wild west shows in the 19th century and became widely popular thereafter. We know firsthand, since trick roping is a staple when it comes to entertainment out here on the ranch!
Trick roping began as a way to showcase the talents of the western cowboys and their ability to lasso and guide giant horses and cattle. It turned into its own competitive art form as more and more people became enamored by the skill of trick ropers in these western shows.
And now here we are at present day, with trick roping still alive and well here at the Silver Spur Ranch in Bandera, Texas. We invite skilled trick ropers to showcase their talents on a fairly regular basis at the Silver Spur and our guests love it! We love it too, to be honest. It’s the perfect entertainment for family reunions, vacations, retreats, and more.
It’s truly mind boggling to see what these people can do with a simple piece of rope. You really have to see it to believe it. And when you do, you can be sure you and your family will create lifelong memories about your vacation at the Silver Spur! Plus, if you’re lucky, they might teach you some of their tricks.
So treat yourselves to a unique family vacation at this very special Texas dude ranch. Book a stay at the Silver Spur in beautiful Texas Hill Country and catch a trick roping show while you’re here. You and your family will love the entire experience, we guarantee it.
